Latest Updates from Our Project:

Update before GP Atlanta
over 8 years ago – Mon, Nov 09, 2015 at 03:43:17 AM

Hi Everyone,

Last week we heard back from the bulk mailers, their investigations were impeded by staff changes, however they have agreed to share with us the cost of reshipping missing books through normal postal channels.  On this basis we will now go ahead and reship however should this second book not arrive we can't afford to ship a third!

Should you wish to have your book couriered to you, with all the security that involves, then we will contribute £10 toward this cost.  People in Brazil and Russia may wish to seriously consider this option.

If you wish to go for the courier option please drop me an email [email protected].  If you have moved in the last 6 months please let me know too. We will be processing these at the end of November.

Come say hi if you are in Atlanta!

Best regards

Guy & John

Looks like we have somewhere around 30 people with books missing.

I will be compiling a list and implementing a strategy this week. I have to provide the missing list to the bulk mailers before they will indicate when they are prepared to do about it and so we will then have to wait to hear from them before we know our options.

Unrelated - we just got back from GP London which is the first big event we could take loads of books along to.  We had lots of really nice feedback from people who already owned it.  We really appreciated the chance to say hi to some of you and thank you in person for backing this project and enjoying the Kickstarter too. :)

More soon!

Mop Up Operation is GO GO GO!

Okay this is enough time to assume that if your book has not yet arrived then it is probably lost.  We are sorry about this, we did our best.

I know a lot of you have already messaged me but to try and make this a little easier for us to manage could you kindly email again with the following information.

Send an email to me [email protected]

SUBJECT of EMAIL EITHER - MISSING (or) DAMAGE

BODY OF EMAIL

  • Please state what is missing/damaged. e.g. Hardback Book & Playmat
  • Please state your Kickstarter username if you ordered from Kickstarter.
  • Please state your full DELIVERY address - preferable somewhere where people will be there during working hours.
  • Please state at least one PHONE NUMBER where you can be reached during office hours. Full number(s) with international code please.
  • Any further explanatory notes at the bottom of your message please.

We will contact each of your individually about your shipment. If loads of parcels to your country have gone missing (i.e. Brazil) we will, again, be urging you to contribute to couriered delivery. We are offering free replacement items but are unable to offer couriered shipping as well.

If you have not responded to this post by August 14th (two weeks from today), then we will not be able to reship your items so please respond promptly to this email.

Once again we are sorry some things went missing, we imagine this is inevitable when shipping 1000 parcels all over the world.

To be clear, here is an example of the sort of email we expect from you;

I will email you week commencing August 17 after I have received all responses.

Cheers!

Guy

p.s. anyone coming to GP London? Let us know if you are, especially if we owe you a book or anything else!

Books still arriving!
almost 9 years ago – Thu, Jul 30, 2015 at 10:02:53 AM

Remarkably more that 12 weeks after we shipped books are still arriving in far flung locations, for this reason we have held off on the below.

However, we have to cut things off at some point so next week we will commence proceedings on missing and damaged items.  We are dealing with these in bulk so as to keep costs down.  If your book has gone missing and you suspect your country's mail service is responsible we will be encouraging you, again, to have the book couriered instead.

We have continued to received wonderful feedback on our book, we are still recovering from the effort but very happy that we achieved our goal - and thanks once more to all of you for assisting in that.

More from us next week.
